Samuel P. Sommers, PE, Principal Geotechnical Engineer
Sam joined Red Barn Engineering Inc. so that by bringing Geotechnical and Civil Engineering together we can streamline stormwater designs. Many years of subsurface exploration, safety planning and geotechnical design engineering experience have prepared him for his role at Red Barn as the manager of the Geotechnical Group.
Sam’s experience ranges from multi-thousand dollar projects to multi-billion dollar projects. He recognizes the direct path early, efficiently allocates resources and therefore completes projects on time and on budget.
Sam is cross-trained in geotechnical and civil engineering which allows him to plan for what your project needs to meet the stormwater codes and the subsurface requirements to keep runoff on-site to the maximum extent feasible.
He enjoys volunteering whenever he can to help pass on his knowledge and experience through coaching and mentoring programs.
